THE BUILD-UP AND PREPARATION TO DAKAR 2018

From the moment David returned from the Dakar last January, the roaring machine of the logistic and financial pressure started.

BUILD-UP TRAINING (1 YEAR)

THE PERSONAL FITNESS PROGRAM
In addition to competing in local races to maintain his speed and technique, David follows an intense personal fitness programme which is monitored by of team of doctors and personal trainers. This physically challenging routine includes:
Training 5 x per week and coaching including spinning in a pressurized room to simulate Bolivia’s high altitudes, Daily Yoga to improve breathing technique ,
Cycling and riding motorcycles as much as possible in mountainous and sand terrains.
Furthermore, David is required to a strict nutritional eating plan including specific protein shakes intake depending on his training.

BUILD-UP PERSONAL TEAM

David is being assisted in his journey to Dakar 2018 by:
A group of volunteers who assist him with personal logistics and communication support during his training rides and the lead up to the official race.
